Tonight’s choir rehearsal was all about adjusting to the “new normal” by singing up to the Temple of Light. The way I’m choosing to use it, “singing up” is pretty much like “stepping up”, but I decided to check online for a few definitions…
- to come forward (step up to claim responsibility)
[It’s our privilege and our dharma as Ananda choir members to sing up to the high level of our beautiful new Temple] - to succeed in meeting a challenge (as by increased effort or improved performance)
[We will meet the challenge by singing up and putting out increased energy and effort] - to take action when there is a need or opportunity for it
[the need is here; the opportunity is here; it’s time to sing up and really “own” our new venue.
We had so much fun tonight discussing “singing up” and experimenting with making our energy and aura WAY bigger. And, interestingly enough, the sanctuary felt almost like a small, intimate setting by the end of rehearsal!
