“Live quietly in the moment and see the beauty of all before you. The future will take care of itself…” — Paramhansa Yogananda
The need of the moment
Tonight I’m needing to focus on something beautiful.
This white rose does the trick.
Beauty all around us
Many thanks to our friend, Ram, for this gorgeous photo of a lotus taken at one of the ponds here at Ananda Village.
I’m so grateful to live surrounded by so much beauty.
The beauty and peace of Umbria
This is the view from where we’re staying in our friend’s Airbnb near Ananda Assisi.
In the five years since we were last in Umbria I had almost forgotten just how beautiful these hillside views are…and how it’s what you see in pretty much any direction you look.
And then there’s the quiet and sense of peace that pervades the area. Ramesha and I were speculating that perhaps it has to do with the fact that the vast majority of visitors to this area are religious/spiritual tourists — drawn to Assisi because of St Francis.
Whatever the reason, my soul loves it here.
A lot of work but worth it
I needed to scroll through some random photos of past trips to Switzerland to remind myself why the stress of traveling is so very, very worth it.
There’s the incredible beauty, of course. But way more important are the people we haven’t seen in almost four years.
We can’t wait.
A moment of beauty
Sharing this beautiful photo of a ranunculus because I don’t really have anything to share tonight, other than that my mind and heart are full.
Autumn’s golden glory
I appreciate autumn leaves of all types and colors, but I do believe what I love the most is when the oak leaves turn golden.
Because oak trees predominate in the area where we live, I start to feel like I’m living in a beautiful golden dream.
These photographs are taken from the parking area of our home. I just had to try and capture the beauty before I headed out to run errands.
Beauty all around us
I’m not a good enough photographer (especially on a cell phone) to do this justice, but I had to at least try to capture the colors of this oleander plant.
I especially loved how the petals on the ground seemed to reflect back the vibrant color of the plant.
I’m feeling very grateful that there’s so much beauty all around us, all the time.
Tulip magic
We finally made it over to Crystal Hermitage to experience “Springtime at Ananda” in the gardens and…yes, it’s beyond incredible. Positively astral!
There have been so many photos shared on Facebook that I had resolved not to take any. But…one simply can’t resist trying to capture the beauty.
So, here you go…
I ❤ flowers
I can’t express in words how happy I felt when I glimpsed my new plants just outside the front door this morning.
They made my heart sing!
I took more photos, simply because I can’t seem to get enough of these beauties!
