Saying good-bye to David Miller

Day before yesterday I wrote about recording “Secrets of Love” at Crystal Hermitage, which had me thinking about David Miller.

This afternoon I was reflecting that I hadn’t been in touch with him for a while and I wondered how he was doing.

And tonight I learned that he had passed away.

David was a big part of the music of Ananda for a long time, from way before I came on the scene. He worked closely with Swami Kriyananda on arranging the music. In fact, some of our most beautiful choir songs are his arrangements.

David was a gifted pianist, a quirky jokester, and a deep devotee. He will be missed.

Go with love, dear David. đź’—

  1. Thank you for sharing about David. We had many deep conversations over the years – David was a great devotee , musician, knower of esoteric bits of history , friend , quirky humorist and all around good guy. He lived upstairs at the Ananda Portland temple where he could compose and record music in the quiet hours. H saw me the day after my first car crash oct 29th 2017 and empathizing said something like “I can see what you have been through and I know I would not have survived it.” He added neither would anyone else in this room. Go with Love David – the Angels will have new music to play now and will probably have to sharpen the tuning on their harps! You will be missed and the music you helped channel will help many know God. What a legacy!

  2. Oh, I am so sad to hear of David’s passing. He was a kind mentor to Michael when we first moved to the village. Blessings on his soul.
