Encountering the same old pattern of making progress on establishing positive new routines/behaviors only to sabotage that progress with a get-to-bed-super-late night.
Sigh.
(not necessarily in that order)

Wrapping up early today…after a long, full couple of weeks; a late night; and losing an hour this morning.
I’m done in.
I spent many years — decades and decades — either performing for or attending musical events throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Starting in my teens and lasting until I moved first to Europe and eventually to Ananda Village, late nights were the rule and a wide variety of music venues were my most accustomed milieu.
But today I’m faced with the reality that all that is very much in the past. Last night’s hour and a half drive to Chico and then another hour and a half to get home again — on a weeknight, no less! — left me pretty much wiped out all day long.
The concert and the night out with friends was a lot of fun, but I’m fairly confident we won’t be in a hurry to repeat it.
Huh. Maybe this is how I know I’m getting old. 🤔
Another late night for us, but the moon sure was beautiful as we drove home!
Today (May 5) was also a lunar eclipse, so there’s lots of moon energy happening these days!
But I’m so tired right now that I’m just grateful for bedtime and sweet dreams.
These dear friends are to “blame” for tonight’s abbreviated blog post.
We spent the evening eating and sharing and laughing, which meant that Ramesha and I got home rather late.
Of course, it was great fun and well worth it.
Got carried away reading all the comments to a very interesting article in the New York Times. As a result I’m writing this way too late into the night.
Thank goodness I fall into such old habits less and less often these days.
