A dear friend is gone

Krishna (Kristy) has been a constant presence in my life since I arrived at Ananda Palo Alto in 1998. That’s basically a quarter century.

One of the most willing, serviceful, joyful people I ever met, Krishna left her body today after a short but intense illness.

It happened so fast I can hardly believe she’s gone.

Lots of memories are surfacing but I’m not ready to try and put them into words.

Go with love, dear friend. 💖

Joyful, swirling thoughts

Processing today is going to take some time.

From start to finish it was full, joyful, inspiring, challenging, successful, and deeply satisfying.

I look forward to having time to reflect on the many blessings of this day.

Choir’s back!

It’s not the entire full choir yet, but what a huge step in the right direction!

It was thrilling to hear voices joined in song once again. It was the first time since March 2020, and it sounded beautiful.

It was both a profoundly joyful and a deeply moving experience.

And I was struck once again by the realization of what a gift our music is, and how extremely important it is to the health and well-being of Ananda’s global network of communities.

I 🖤 collaboration!

We’re planning a global concert to celebrate the May 19th birthday of Swami Kriyananda (composer of Ananda’s music) and it’s thrilling to see increased collaboration happening.

At our meeting this afternoon we had representatives from the following teams: Ananda Music; Online With Ananda; Virtual Community; Communications; Development; Audio/Visual; and the Expanding Light Ashram.

Every person involved has experience singing in Ananda choirs and deep attunement with Swamiji and the music. What a wonderful feeling to see all the various ideas and areas of expertise come together into one harmonious and joyful whole.

Super grateful!
