Loving well

And if I want to help myself heal, I need to love me without an agenda.

In other words, without treating “loving myself” as a way to lose weight or attract abundance or accomplish any other specific goal.

I want to learn to love myself well just for the sake of loving. And that applies to loving others well also.

Choose well

Thanks to The Wise You for the meme

I find this fascinating. All extremely common words, but it would never in a million years have occurred to me to compare the number of letters in each one.

But I’m grateful that it occurred to someone (thank you, whoever you are), because it has caused me to reflect on how important it is to choose rightly.

So along those lines: I choose love, friends, and truth; I choose to be positive; I choose to rise above and to live in joy; I choose to be happy; I choose what is right; and I choose to heal.

And so it is.

The joy of singing

After days focused on writing emails, gathering information, communicating details, replying to emails, downloading videos, extracting audio tracks, writing still more emails, etc… it was finally time to record my own videos of the wedding choir songs.

It was hot and muggy. I was hungry and a little tired. I had to set up the tripod, the smartphone, the laptop, the backing tracks. It was video, so I had to change into a jewel tone top and put on some lipstick.

Ah, but then…. it was time to sing! And it didn’t matter that I was singing all by myself in my living room, to the accompaniment of a backing track. The uplifted energy, the joy of the music, the blessing of feeling it flow through me… it was all still there, ready to soothe and heal my soul.
