(not necessarily in that order)
What an amazing moon we have tonight!
It was already so bright last night that I had to dig out my eye mask in order to sleep, so I can only imagine what tonight will be like.
I’m clearly no photographer but I just had to at least try to capture tonight’s moon.
So beautiful.
A number of factors contributed to last night being the worst night’s sleep I’ve had in ages.
First of all, we had been out to dinner, so it took a while to settle down and let the food digest, etc. The end result being that I didn’t get to bed until fairly late.
Secondly, it’s still been really hot — which never helps.
And finally, it was a full moon!
All in all, I slept just a little more than three hours. Functioning during Sunday service was definitely a struggle.
Another late night for us, but the moon sure was beautiful as we drove home!
Today (May 5) was also a lunar eclipse, so there’s lots of moon energy happening these days!
But I’m so tired right now that I’m just grateful for bedtime and sweet dreams.
It was an early morning after a long day/late night, but this moon made it feel magical.
I love full (and almost full) moons!
Nothing to add really; simply wanted to share something beautiful in honor of the full moon.
I’ve reached the end of the day without any particular insight or observation to share.
Except that the moon was really beautiful this morning!
I wish I could have gotten a clearer image of the moon itself, but my cell phone camera has its limits.😉
I’ve always loved the full moon but didn’t fully appreciate it until I moved to Italy. I would read in a novel how the smugglers had to wait for a moonless night or how the heroine was able to make her escape by the light of the full moon…but I couldn’t really comprehend why it would make such a difference.
That’s because having lived virtually all my life up to that point in the San Francisco Bay Area — with all its artificial light — I had never experienced the contrast of a new moon versus a full moon night.
But then I moved to Ananda Assisi, located in the rural Umbria countryside. I still remember the first time I left an evening program on a full moon night. I was enthralled as I walked home, marveling at how the moonlight could be so bright as to create shadows!
No need for a flashlight on those nights, but come the new moon it was another story entirely!
