Slogging through the day

Yep, this was a slogging through it kind of day, from start to finish.

I resonated with the word, but had to look it up to make sure I was using it right. But, yeah, “to slog” is to walk or plod heavily; to toil. And “a slog” is a long, tiring walk or march; long, laborious work.

Which is how today felt.

It started with me oversleeping, followed by needed but unexpected calls and visits.

Then laundry, laundry, and more laundry.

Emails, organizing, details, and more emails.

Feeling tired throughout but trying not to let the crankiness take over. Sigh.

The good news is I got a lot done. The less-than-good-news is that I didn’t exactly stay centered in my inner peace and joy.

Oh well, all we can do is give it our best from moment to moment.

Playing blog hooky

Today was a full immersion back into my workaday world. Meetings, emails, and lots and lots of details.

So, tonight I’m playing blog hooky and not writing much of anything.

Slowly but surely getting there

Today I felt like I was approaching 100 percent.

I managed to fully participate in our weekly music meeting, address a number of organizational tasks, and write a number of important (and time-sensitive) emails.

Yay, me! 🥳

The day that got away

Where did this day go, I wonder?!?

Hmmm…

Music meeting; emails; radiation appointment; lunch; a couple of errands; water the garden; sit on the patio; do the dishes; eat dinner; watch a show; wash more dishes; evening affirmations and gratitude time; a few more emails…

Ah, that’s where the day went!

A surprisingly productive day

I didn’t sleep quite as much as I would have liked, due to needing to do lots of prep for today.

However, I still managed to attend an early morning Zoom meeting, then head straight into presenting our monthly music satsang for the Ananda Virtual Community.

Afterward there were follow-up tasks for the satsang, after which time was spent unexpectedly connecting with other music team members.

Then I got in the flow of writing long overdue emails and next thing I know it’s the end of the day. Go figure!

So no, I didn’t cut firewood, but the photo reflects how I feel about my day. 💪
